Using the Weasis Medical Viewer in DVMInsight

About the Weasis DICOM Medical Viewer

Weasis is a multipurpose standalone and web-based DICOM viewer with a highly modular architecture.
DVMInsight does not own or manage this software, but we provide an easy way to launch case images in Weasis from your DVMInsight account.

Installing the Weasis DICOM Medical Viewer

The Weasis DICOM Medical Viewer is available in the Microsoft Windows App Store.

Launching Weasis from DVMInsight

For Clients and Company Administrators,

1. In your DVMInsight account, select All Exams from the Review My Cases menu.

2. Adjust the Filter Dates to include the date the case created in DVMInsight, then click the Filter Dates button.

3. Click on the patient ID, patient name, or owner name link to open the case.

4. Click Launch DICOM Viewer. If you receive a pop-up notification that the site is trying to open Weasis, click Open. If nothing happens, then Weasis is not properly installed.


For Readers,

In your DVMInsight RadPortal account, you can select All Cases or All Reports from the Cases and Reports menu then follow the same instructions above for Clients and Company Administrators.

OR

In your Web RADWorklist on the Report window, click the Launch Viewer button. If you receive a pop-up notification that the site is trying to open Weasis, click Open. If nothing happens, then Weasis is not properly installed.
